While doing the interviews, start clustering your customers in similar segments and identifying their most common problems. Then plot the results in a matrix that looks like this:
This matrix will help you organize your data and learn. It will help knowing when to stop interviewing a customer segment that is not responding very well to the problem you are targeting, or it will help you identify which is the best problem to build a solution for.
